I'm a general internist, serving as the Internal Medicine Medical Director at University of Vermont Medical Center Essex and an Associate Professor of Medicine at UVM Larner College of Medicine.My mother's career as a midwife was a prominent part of my childhood in Eastern Europe, Romania. The relationships she had with her patients had a profound impact and inspired me to pursue an education in medicine.Having the privilege to help my patients and being able to partner with them in their decision-making — which will influence their health outcomes — makes me feel accountable and proud.I aim to do my best to establish deep connections with patients, which helps to pave the health journey.
