Born and raised in upstate New York, I completed my undergraduate education at McGill University in Montreal, where I played varsity basketball and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. After college, I attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where I continued to develop my interest in orthopedics.I completed my orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. During residency, I served as a team physician for the NYU and Long Island University men’s and women’s basketball programs, the NYC Public High School Athletic League and the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. My research interests include hip arthroscopy outcomes, shoulder instability, return to athletic play and performance after orthopedic injury and the impact of sports medicine injuries on the mental health of patients and athletes.After residency, I completed an additional year of training at the world-renowned Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. During that fellowship, I worked alongside the premier sports medicine experts in the world, receiving training in minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques in the shoulder, knee and hip. Additionally, I served as a team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team, providing medical coverage at events in Colorado, Chile and New Zealand — a role I continue to hold today. I currently serve as the attending surgeon for Norwich University and team physician for Vermont Green FC.Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing basketball and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
